Hey!
I’m Edith.

Let’s make a room stop and listen.

Listen

*No script to memorise. One clear idea and the way to land it.

Book a talk

Three formats, shaped around your programme.

What I bring to a room

45 min keynote

The First Two Minutes

On opening a room and keeping it, before the coffee break decides for you. Works as an opener or a closer, not a mid-afternoon filler.

90 min workshop

Say the Hard Thing

For teams that keep circling the conversation nobody wants to start. On your feet, no slides. Everyone speaks at least twice.

Half day intensive

Speak Without a Script

Build a talk that survives a dead mic, a late start and a distracted audience. You leave with the talk itself, not notes about it.

Clarity in your message.

The one idea the room needs to leave with, said so they can repeat it the next morning.

Presence that holds.

Opening a room and keeping it, through a dead mic, a late start and a distracted crowd.

A talk you can own.

You leave with the talk itself and the tools to deliver it, not lines to recite.

Let’s chat, it’s on me

Let’s talk. It’s on me.

“How do I get a room to actually listen?”

Speaking a lot, but not landing the way you want?

You might be

  • Writing a new talk from scratch every single time
  • Leaning on slides to carry the room for you
  • Saying everything, so nothing quite sticks

And still wondering what to actually focus on.

Grab a starting point

From noise to a clear line.

I help you:

  • Find the one thing worth saying
  • Shape it for the room in front of you
  • Open strong and close on purpose

And turn it into:

  • A talk that survives the real room
  • A structure you can reuse
  • Delivery that sounds like you

So you walk on ready, not rehearsing in the wings.

About Edith

Fifteen years of rooms, and the one thing that moves them.

I started in front of thirty people in a university lecture hall and spent the next fifteen years working out what actually moves a room. Boardrooms, church halls, conference centres, and a fair number of rooms where the audience had not chosen to be there.

The brief is usually a version of the same thing. People in this organisation are not saying what they mean, and it is costing us time, money or good staff. My work is finding the true thing and putting it in language people can repeat to someone else the next morning.

I write here most weeks, mainly about the craft and the sessions that did not go to plan.

  • City and venue, or the platform if remote
  • Roughly how many people, and who they are
  • What you need them to walk out believing
